Life Coaching Sydney: Is there something more powerful than NLP Coaching?
Hi again,
Patrick here from Life Coaching Sydney…today we are going to explore the concept of NLP and does NLP coaching really work?
There’s a lot of talk today amongst life coaches and in the life coaching industry about NLP. And we know there’s a lot of coaches around the world using NLP in their coaching as a way of transforming people. Some people claim to have benefited from this type of life coaching and some are trying to find a life coach that provides NLP. Howeverr with all of this in mind, does NLP coaching really give you the long term benefits it promises?
As someone who has studied the mind with passion for 25 years and helped thousands of individuals tranforming their lives, I know what the real components are for a successful life coaching program. Before I share them with you, lets have a look at how NLP works and what it works with.
NLP is short for Neuro Linguistic Programming. It was developed in the 70′s by Richard Bandler and John Grinder. It primarily works with your subjective experience and how your organise your internal world. The major premise it’s build upon is the concept of wanting to change for fix something by using the internal pictures and sounds you have. At the root it’s how your internal pictures and sounds are represented that is causing you the problems you have. However wanting to change those using NLP is usually very short term change, you might feel really good for the moment but this wont last long. Usually the person going through a session of NLP with a life coach will find themselves 2-3 months down the road having the same problem occur again, whether that’s a habit you wanted to change or an disempowering emotional pattern resurfacing again.
Why is that and what would be a better way to create a lasting and stable change for yourself?
What NLP is missing in addressing, is the glue that holds your problem in place (whether this is destructive habits, negative self talk, disempowering emotions like fear or doubts, limiting beliefs)…and that glue is what I call your ‘energy charges’. Energy charges is the real key to long term and stable change.
If you really want to be free of whatever is holding you back, you need to look at the energy charges that are popping up in your consciousness. Example of everyday energy charges would be e.g. your mum or spouse says something to you and you immediatley go into a negative state or you think about your goals and dreams but negative thoughts and emotions pop up. You see it’s not the pictures or the sounds your mind makes that’s holding you back, it’s the negative energy charges that is underlying these pictures and sounds that keeps these patterns in place.
If you didn’t have these negative energy charges, the pictures, thoughts and feelings would not even come into your mind. They are only their due to these charges. It’s like a battery filled with energy charge, when the battery is full in a hand held lamp the light is quite strong, but the more the energy charge in the battery is released (used) the less power the actual light is in the hand held lamp.
The same goes for your energy charges.
(By the way if you want to experience the freedom of releasing energy charges please contact us at Life Coaching Sydney and we will arrange a special introductory session for you)
This is what’s missing in NLP as they are only working with the pictures and sounds themselves not the energy charges. And that’s why I boldly would say that NLP doesn’t work for long term and stable change.
And this is why I work with your energy charges, to create the most effective change method I’m aware of and come across in my 25 years of experience. If you feel like you would want to experience this for yourself, please contact me at patrick@lifecoachingsydney.com.au and we can organise a special introdutory session for you.
Hope you enjoyed this little post and looking forward to assisting you in true transformation.
Cheers,
Patrick (International Trainer/Master Coach – Life Coaching Sydney)
