Life Coaching Sydney: Part 2 of The Silent Killer of Dreams and Goals

Hi again,

Patrick here again from Life Coaching Sydney…here’s part 2 of The Silent Killer of Dreams and Goals (if you haven’t read the first part please see post below).

Why you should feel excited about resistance..

Is there anything good about resistance? Yes, there is.

Resistance is your gold mine. From my experience in life coaching one-on-one and conducting training’s to become a life coach, I‘ve noticed that…where people have their biggest resistance and fear, is where their biggest breakthroughs and life transformation will happen.

Your resistance is your biggest breakthrough. If you truly want to reach your goals, take your life to the next level and start living your ultimate life then you would want to see resistance as your best friend saying something like — “Hey, it‘s time to grow, it‘s time for your biggest breakthrough, just take action, move forward despite me. I‘m here to make you grow.“

Make a commitment to yourself from now on to be excited and curious about your resistance. It‘s just showing you where the key is to your ultimate life; your resistance is your key to your success, if you continue moving forward with excitement about your resistance.

How do you move forward when you have resistance? Here’s some life coaching tips:

1.Notice your resistance.

2.Notice when you have resistance.

3.Know that you are choosing the resistance (consciously or unconsciously) as a way for you to know where your key to success and breakthroughs are.

4.Decide to feel excited and curious about the resistance.

5.Move forward and take action even when you experience resistance.

6.Let resistance be your trigger to take action. (e.g. you know when they start a swimming contest they shoot the gun, and what do the swimmers do? That‘s right, they dive in and start swimming like crazy to reach their goal. The resistance is the gun firing as the signal to start taking action).

7.Write down on a piece of paper that you can bring with you, and write your most important learning about resistance. Read it everyday as reminder so you can start living beyond resistance.

Remember, in the end resistance is a creation of your mind. And if it‘s a creation of your mind, then you can also uncreate it. If you would compare your mind to a bus, then my question would be to you, who is driving the bus? (This is a great question, even though it’s not a necesserily a life coaching question)
